Hammerhead Construction Co. Ltd. is a Bahamian-owned and operated general contracting and construction management company. We started in 2019 with one building on Madeira Street and have grown, almost entirely on repeat clients and word of mouth, into roofing, custom homes, steel buildings and commercial work across New Providence and the Family Islands.
How we work
Integrity, precision and reliability are the three words we started with, and they still describe the job. We put the scope, price and programme in writing before we start. We tell you what we find when we open up a roof or a wall, with photos, and we price the fix before we do it. And we finish: on time, within budget, and to a standard we would accept in our own homes.
We rarely have to produce a company profile. Most of the people who call us were given our number by someone we have already built for.

President
Founded Hammerhead in 2019 after rebuilding the Modernistic Garden & Pet building on Madeira Street. Runs contracts, estimating and client relationships.
Stuart Powell
Managing Partner
More than 30 years in construction. Leads site operations and the roofing crews, and has been on every Enviroshake roof the company has installed.
Jerard Nixon
Lead Project Manager
14 years of construction management. Schedules, RFIs, subcontractor coordination and day-to-day site supervision at 6th Terrace.

Safety and compliance
Hammerhead follows safety protocols based on international standards and local regulatory requirements. Every project includes a site-specific Health & Safety Plan.
Our operations are fully insured under a Contractors’ All Risks (CAR) policy, with General Liability and Workers’ Compensation cover as standard. We hold a current Business Licence and Tax Compliance Certificate, and we can provide certificates of insurance to owners and lenders on request.
